Something is missing. I think.
I moved back home to Muskegon for the summer.
I don't know why but I still don't feel at ease.
I go on vacation next weekend, then start work and summer classes as soon as I get back.
I so badly want to be excited to get away and relax, but for some reason I can't chill out.
I want to know what it feels like to not worry about something, or have some kind of deadline.
I want to feel accomplished and complete, but it's so hard lately.
Maybe being alone in Kalamazoo for the next two days will help me relax.
I think I look for everything I need in the wrong places.

I received a 100% on my Leadership Profile!
It's such a relief when your hard work pays off x10.
I took my first exam, I have an advising appointment at 11:30, then another exam at 5. (my hard one)
Tomorrow: Broadcast Journalism exam at 12:30, Sociology exam at 2:45.
THEN FINISHED... until summer classes start at mcc. ;]
I'm really excited to be going home for the summer and taking 12 credits.
I really have to bust my ass if I'm going to be finished next year, but I like being pushed.
It really sucks that I lost so many credits due to transferring and Specs Howard credits not being evaluated and equivalent to WMU classes.
It's alright though, it's still a rewarding feeling knowing that I'm working twice as hard.
I'll be back and working at Buffalo Wild Wings in Muskegon this summer. I really do miss that job. I'm motivated to make enough money to have for a few months rent next fall.
I'm living BY MYSELF, and I absolutely cannot wait. I'm pretty sure I found a place to live... my parents came to visit me this weekend to help me look at places. I found a studio at The Pointe at Western for a pretty good rate.
Next Thursday (bright and early) Josh and I will be leaving for Virginia Beach!
I am soooo excited to get away for a few days. We get to visit Kris and Brittany and the baby!
We are both looking forward to this trip so much after the crazy year we've had. We NEED a vacation.

He makes my life so enjoyable. I can't believe it's almost been 3 years. =]

testing the strong ones
Growing up is rough.
It's interesting when you reach a point in your life when you look around and wonder where you stand with everyone else around you.
Although I feel like I've learned so much about life and friendship and communication and relationships... I can't help but feel somewhat out-of-touch.
I hate that feeling.
I hate being so busy in my head that I can't keep up with the outside world.
But I guess that's life... we choose our company.
I think there comes a time in everyone's life when we really evaluate our friendships-- both old and new. The old friends are the ones that are there for you like they were back then, and they know every bump and scrape in your life. They are friends by situation.
New friends are those by choice. When your maturity allows you to know the difference between people who are good for you, and those who are not. You pick these friends because you can. Because you want to.
Friendship shouldn't be a competition. It should be about compassion.

in the coming days..
Wow.. I haven't blogged since the old Livejournal days. I wish LJ never withered away.
Good things are happening in my life. I'm in my final week of classes this semester until exams. I'll be completely done next Thursday, and I cannot wait.
Then on the 30th, Josh and I are leaving for Virginia Beach!
We are going to visit Kris and Brittany and their new baby boy, Braedon. I am so excited to have a little vacation before madness starts up again.
When I get back to Muskegon for the Summer, I will be working at Bdubs again and taking 12 credits at MCC. Econ, History, and Spanish. Boo.
I'm also in the process of looking for studios or one bedroom apartments in Kalamazoo for next year. That's right.. NO ROOMMATES. I cannot wait to have a place to my own for my final year at WMU. It's going to be liberating.
Last weekend I went to Southfield to visit my sister. I stayed with her and Ray for the Final Four festivities in downtown Detroit. It was a blast. I also got to visit my fav. (the detroit zoo) with my sister the following day. It was soooo nice to have a mini trip to myself.

This past weekend was Easter. It was amazing to spend the weekend in Muskegon. It was my first time spending an entire weekend at home, since I just quit my job at Chili's. I adore family time. It was also amazing to spend time with Josh. My life has been so crazy and stressful lately, so it's just a breath of fresh air when I finally do get to see him.
Can't believe I turn 22 on Friday. Where did the year go?
