Modern Chemistry

I had such an amaaazzing weekend! I came back to Muskegon on Thursday and didn't even have to work that night! I just relaxed all night long w/ Josh.

This is what I wore:

Then on Friday, I worked a double. I had to make as much money as possible before heading to the East side to visit my sister and Ray.
Josh and I left Saturday afternoon to head over to Southfield to their apartment. When we got there, we all headed out to Great Lakes Crossing. It had been FOREVER since I'd been there. I absolutely love that mall, it's affordable and huge! They also have an Aldo OUTLET, Victoria's Secret OUTLET, one of the biggest Forever 21's, a For Love 21, an H&M, and so many other amazing stores that I never get to shop in. I bought a few goodies for myself and hit up some GREAT deals. =]
On Sunday we headed to Ferndale to grab a bite to eat and then downtown Royal Oak to walk around Main St. and hit up some boutiques. Thank God it was nice out on the East side! Perfect weather for walking around. Afterwards, we headed to the driving range to hit some balls.

Yep, that's me swinging in heals.

My sister, Miranda

Ray trying to teach me how to swing. Unsuccessful.

On our way back to Muskegon, Josh and I stopped at the Tanger Outlets in Howell. I don't think I've done this much shopping in a long time. I love that Josh enjoys shopping as much as I do. =] I got to spend some time at the Nine West Outlet (I ADORE nine west). I picked these up, and Josh actually got them for me!!! He's the best.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I cannot wait to wear these this Summer. I'm so in love w/ both of them!

Some other things I picked up this weekend:

Ode to Serotonin

Can't believe how fast this past weekend flew by! Now that spring is 'trying' to arrive, everything seems to go by so quickly!

I went back to Muskegon for the weekend (per usual) to work at bdubs Thursday night, a double on Saturday, and Sunday morning. Since I had the day off on Friday, I celebrated Josh's birthday by making him a seafood dinner and giving him his gifts. His birthday is actually tomorrow, but I won't be able to see him since he's there and I'm in Kalamazoo. We're used to these long distance, not seeing each other on birthdays kind of thing. We had a great time though, and I love when I get to spend an entire DAY with my boyfriend! I feel so spoiled when I get a whole day, because it's rare that we get that. And we've been together for over three years. Crazy!

I wore this on Friday. It's nice to be at home and NOT have to wear my disgusting Buffalo Wild Wings uniform. I'm so sick of that thing!

(Blazer & Crochet Top by Forever 21; Shorts by Liz Claiborne; Boots from Charlotte Russe; Tights from Target)

This is one of my favorite tops. I've had it for probably almost four years now.. and I always end up going back to it because it goes with so many things in my closet. I'm crazy about crocheted items.. I love detail.

I hope the school weeks fly by just as quickly as the weekends have been.
46 DAYS UNTIL GRADUATION! =]

Film of the Day:
Closer (2004) Directed by Mike Nichols.

This movie has always been a favorite of mine. It has that gut-wrenching factor in a drama that some people can't stand to watch, but I love the intensity of it. Plus, the men are nice on the eyes.

I also became a Mark. Representative today! Please visit my store and order some of the best beauty products ever for amazing prices!

Hope you all have a great week!

tougher than leather

I love today! I usually absolutely HATE Tuesdays with a firey passion, but the sunshine and nice weather is turning that all around.
It also really helps my day when I can put my iTunes on shuffle and it makes an amazing mix that not even my own brain can muster. Priceless.

Kalamazoo is so much prettier when it's not covered in dirty, black snow. I want to do a post soon about downtown Kalamazoo. I think people underestimate it's beauty. There's really a lot more to do than people think. Plus, my favorite movie theater ever exists in downtown Kalamazoo, Rave Motion Pictures!

Being a film major and living for cinema and all it entails, I'm going to start doing film recommendations on my posts. Today...

Film of the Day
Alice in Wonderland
Directed By: Tim Burton (2010)

And this song reflects my mood today as well. ;]
Gonna live, POSITIVE, forever, AND EVER
Run-D.M.C. and we're Tougher Than Leather

This jacket has really been growing on me. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. It makes my shoulders look huge, which I guess is actually alright because I have such narrow shoulders. I also wore my “punchy” lip gloss by Beauty Rush by Victoria’s Secret. I rarely wear it because I love the look of bare lips. I thought I’d change it up a bit today in the spirit of spring approaching!

Hope you all have a fabulous evening!

sell my old clothes, i'm off to heaven.

I'm back in Michigan after a WONDERFUL and relaxing vacation in Ft. Myers, Florida. The weather was fairly mild, but anything is better than a snow storm! It was mostly mid 60's while we were there, but it was still definitely warm enough to lay in the sun by the pool. I got a nice hint of bronzed skin, so I'm happy about that. =]

I had an amazing time hanging out with my parents and grandparents. I did tons of puzzles with my grandma, had several nice conversations with my grandpa, did plenty of shopping with my mom, and drank a few bottles of rum with my dad. We walked around a park that was right across from the condo. It was called Lakes Park and it was huuugee inside! It was the perfect place for walking. We saw some amazing wildlife and I tried to snap as many photos as I could while walking around.

(It's hard to see, but there's a gator on the rock!)

(hanging out w/ the pelicans on Ft. Myers pier)

We also visited Sanibel Island. I was overwhelmed with how beautiful this island was.. I wasn't expecting it at all!! I've never seen so many seashells in my life! It was gorgeous.

I also bought three new bathing suits =[]! For those who know me, I already own way too many, but they were such a steal at Bealls Outlet! That's what I love about Florida.

New Suit #1

New Suit #2

New Suit #3

And the pile of suits after unpacking...

(Probably only about 1/3 of my suits. I really need to chill out.)

I'm having a hard time getting myself back into my weekly grind. It's so difficult going back to school after being in beautiful Florida. UGH. On the bright side, I'm halfway done w/ the semester. Graduation is May 1st and I CANNOT WAIT. If I could fast-forward these next two months, I totally would.

Today was the start of throwing myself back into a routine. All I wanted to do was sleep, but I dragged my butt out of bed and headed to Social Psychology. I love taking photos when it's this gorgeous out. Everything seems so crisp and fresh.

Mostly a boring day. But I did finish unpacking, doing my laundry/dishes, and cleaning up my apartment! So at least I was somewhat productive.
I hope you all have an amazing week! Enjoy the sunshine while you can!! =]

This is going to be the shortest/quickest update EVER. But I just had to say that I'm not trying to neglect my blog, I'm just enjoying my amazing, relaxing, warm vacation in Ft. Myers, Florida! I have every intention of coming back in full force, I'm just rarely online while on vacay. I'll be back shortly!
